West Cork family sleep in car due to lack of rented accommodation

As the homeless crisis continues and people struggle to pay rent this morning West Cork based Cllr Paul Hayes told Patricia Messinger on C103’s Cork Today show of a family that slept in a car due to the lack of rented accommodation in the area.

The family stayed with friends, then stayed in a car for a week and are now in a holiday home which they must leave in the next 8 days.

Families are embarrassed ending up in this situation as homes they are living in are put up for sale.
