West Cork Chamber Music Festival this week!

World-class chamber music will be heard throughout the Bantry region as the West Cork Chamber Music Festival opens on Friday 30th June, and continues until Saturday 8th July.

The Doric Quartet from the UK, Pacifica Quartet from the USA, Pavel Haas Quartet from Czechia and Zaïde Quartet from France will join a host of soloists including British violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen, Norwegian violinist Henning Kraggerud, German violinist Viviane Hagner, Finnish pianist Joonas Ahonen, American violinist Miranda Cuckson, Irish violinist Mairéad Hickey, German-Canadian cellist Johanes Moser and many more.

The festival debuts its inaugural Fringe Festival on Saturday 1st: Ireland’s best young performers will join professional musicians to perform in a series of daily Pop-Ups, randomly performing in local coffee shops, restaurants, shops and streets. All Fringe events are free of charge and these lunchtime shows will run in a variety of locations in the Bantry area, including Whiddy Island, Garnish Island and Durrus.
