Talented West Cork students win Texaco Awards

THREE West Cork students have been presented with top awards in this year’s 63rd Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

Other West Cork winners were Charlie Quinlan (8), from Katherine Griffiths’ Art Class, Bandon and Pippa McIntosh (9), from Kinsale Art Academy, Kinsale, both of whom won Special Merit Awards.

Other winners from Co. Cork, all of whom received Special Merit Awards at a ceremony held in Dublin recently, were Gabriela O’Keeffe (13), from Coláiste Mhuire, Buttevant; Isabel Scully (13), from Douglas; Seán O’Reilly (8); from St. Anthony’s Boys School, Ballinlough; Ciara O’Callaghan (11), from Young Acrylic Art, Blarney; and Gavin Cronin (17) and Leo Napier (15), both from St. Mary’s Special School, Rochestown.
