THE new Lidl store in Macroom opened this week after five months of construction. Construction of the new concept store began in January 2017 and saw over 60 jobs created during the build.
Lidl #TrolleyCam stars Adrian and Mary Spillet were on hand to officially open the store. The rebuild boasts a number of new amenities including an increased store floor area, a larger, fresh bakery, a Lidl To Go coffee machine and upgraded staff facilities.
Speaking at the Lidl Macroom reopening, John Byrne, Macroom Store Manager said; “We are delighted to open our new store in Macroom after 5 months of construction. This store boasts a new architectural design and spacious store layout,meaning that we can offer our customers a greater shopping experience. The whole team is really excited to welcome our loyal customers to this fantastic new store and we look forward to getting to know many new customers over the coming weeks.”
