Skibbereen dog reunited with owner following C103 appeal

The lucky dog Ben was reunited with his owners.

LAST Friday Ann contacted the Cork Today Show on C103 as she had come across a dog in a distressed state in Skibbereen.

The Dog had got itself locked into the Water Works Treatment Centre in Skibbereen and could not get out. The same afternoon it was raining heavy causing further distress to the dog.

Ann didn’t leave the dog, she contacted the Gardaí, Cork County Council and animal welfare groups and in the end took the dog to her own home to look after.

Ann rang her local radio station C103 and spoke to Patricia Messinger on the Cork Today Show to highlight what had happened. Patricia an animal lover also appealed for the public’s help in the matter.

Despite pictures being shared on various social media platforms it was the power of local radio that reunited Ben the dog with his owners after their neighbour heard the appeal on C103’s Cork Today Show.

Thankfully that evening Ann met the owners and Ben was reunited with his family
