Six local artists taking part in Crawford College of Art and Design degree show

Roisin Downey from Glengarriff, Robyn Deasy from Drimoleague, Conor Callery and Ashley Moloney from Macroom, Dana Dempsey from Crosshaven and Clo Austin from Kinsale will be showcasing their latest work at their final year show Beyond Dialogue which opens on the 9th of June, 6-9pm at the CCAD campus on Sherman Street, Cork city.

Beyond Dialogue is the culmination of four years work by emerging artists from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design’s Fine Art and Contemporary Applied Art degree programmes.

In this seminal event in Cork city, the entire building on Sharman Crawford Street will be given over to showcasing exciting artist installations in a wide range of media, including drawing, sculpture, photography, digital media, print, painting, textiles, glass, and ceramics.

A picture can say a thousand words. Art can speak volumes, but also leave you speechless. Today, through the media and internet forums, we are saturated with imagery and artwork. Thus, we are now in a world where art has entered the realm of being beyond dialogue.

The show will continue from Saturday 10th – Friday 16th June.
