SCHULL Community College has come alive in recent months as preparations for the annual Christmas concert “The Circle of Life” are in full festive swing.
On Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st December, Transition Year students will transport audiences to the African plains in what promises to be a wild musical adventure.
Inspired by the much loved Disney film, “The Lion King”, the show tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious lion cub as he struggles to accept his destiny.
The colourful cast of actors and the college orchestra have been rehearsing at every available opportunity, and all hands are on deck in the Art and Woodwork Departments to bring the African Savannah to life, with flocks of students designing and creating the huge range of costumes, masks, props and backdrops required for the visual spectacle that will be “The Circle of Life”.
First Year students will present “The Brothers”, a lively prequel to “The Circle of Life”. Come along and sing along to some of your favourite Disney tunes, doors open at 6:45pm, the show will start at 7:15pm. Family rates available. All welcome.
