Schull Business and Tourism Association is hosting a festive afternoon and evening embracing the different Christmas customs and traditions of our community.
On Saturday 16th December from 4-7pm, shops and businesses will be offering a little taste of Christmas from the many different nationalities living in the area, including decorations and music, a taste of international foods and traditional costumes.
The Schull Country Market will have Christmas decorated stalls, mulled wine, mince pies, and live music playing Christmas songs. Santa and Mrs Claus will be on the main street for all the young children to visit; whilst a treasure hunt, starting at Present Company, will get the kids searching the whole village for clues.
Music and singing will take place throughout the afternoon, Anna B’s bookshop will have Christmas storytelling, a series of short films will be showing courtesy of the Fastnet Film Festival, with many of the shops extending their opening hours for the occasion, with treats and the best of festive atmospheres.
The Christmas lights are in place, the Christmas Wish Tree is lit, so come to Schull and enjoy Nollaig around the World.
