THIS year’s AGM is being held in the Ardagh Club house on Friday 11th Nov at 8.30pm. All players, parents, mentors and anyone who has an interest in the game are urged to attend the meeting.

Adrian Roycroft, chairperson of the Rosscarbery Ladies Football club stated “It is imperative for the future of the club to get new people involved, for the past few years the club has been struggling and only a hand full are doing their best to keep it running.” Adrian continued to say “It is a shame really, as we have some very talented players within the club and promising young players coming through. We always have a member or two representing the club at county level, this year being no different, with Áine Hayes and Sarah Hayes bringing home All-Ireland medals. To keep this standard coming through we need the help and support from all involved.”
Just before the AGM the club have organised a fitting for the new half zips, training tops and training pants designed with the clubs’ crest. “For a while now, the present committee have been designing a half zip, kindly sponsored by Rosscarbery Black Pudding. Some of the members have been asking for these for ages and we finally have them available. We will be holding a fitting night and take orders on Friday 11th at 7.45pm, all orders must be paid for on the night”. Adrian said, “Following the AGM we are having a little get together in the Abbey Bar to celebrate our Intermediate Ladies reaching the Intermediate county final,” Adrian continued.
Rosscarbery Ladies Football club are holding their very popular annual Christmas Market, on Sunday Nov 20th, from 12.00 till 6.00 and have a huge array of distributors from cakes, jewellery, fashion, crafts, art, photography, beauty, knits, baking etc., with over 40 exhibitors to see, there is something for everyone, a chance to get in early to do some Christmas shopping.
“Following on from feedback received from both the public and stall holders we could see that the demand was there, it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase many of these talented people. Without events like this, many exhibitors would find it difficult to display their products”, said Adrian. “We are delighted to welcome many of last years’ businesses back again this year, along with new exhibitors only too eager to get on board being recommended by those who participated last time”, Adrian continued.
The Celtic Ross Hotel is a great venue to hold this event. The function room is ideal and all the stands can be seen once you enter the room. The location of the Celtic Ross Hotel is so central to West Cork, with ample parking.
