WEST Cork independent TD Michael Collins has welcomed the announcement by Minister Shane Ross that the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport has engaged with a number of local authorities with a view to funding a range of schemes.
Under this funding announced by Minister Shane Ross, Cork County Council proposes to undertake works in five locations at a total cost of €54,500. The works will take place in Cobh, Glanmire, Bandon, Ballincollig and Douglas.
Clancool Terrace in Bandon is to receive funded for traffic calming measures to the amount of €18,000. Deputy Collins welcomes this positive news for the people of Bandon and believes these measures will be a vital factor in controlling the traffic management issues in Clancool Terrace.
The residents of Clancool Terrace Bandon brought their traffic management issues to the attention of Deputy Michael Collins. Michael alongside with the residents of Clancool worked hard to put together a proposal and are now delighted to see their hard efforts paid off.
