There’s good news for parents of children who may need speech and language therapy. The award winning, not-for-profit organisation, Sensational Kids, is opening a new speech and language therapy service at the Clonakilty GAA complex this month.
This much-needed service is open to children and adolescents of all ages and all abilities, including those with additional needs, and children who need a little help to catch up with their peers.
Sensational Kids also offers specialist speech and language therapy support to children with additional needs and works with children who have autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome, specific language impairment, dyspraxia, nonverbal children and those with other developmental delays and conditions.
Elaine Baldwin, the speech & language therapist who will be providing this service, has also undertaken specialist training to provide speech & language therapy for children with hearing loss using the techniques of Auditory Verbal Therapy. To make appointments or for more information about this new service phone Sensational Kids on 045 520900 or visit the charity’s website on www.sensationalkids.ie
