FIANNA Fáil TD for Ballincollig, Aindrias Moynihan, has said that parents in Ballincollig have one last chance to let the Department of Education know their feelings on who they want to be appointed patron of the new primary school in Ballincollig.
“The deadline for expressions of support and interest in Friday, 6th January, and parents need to use this opportunity and have their say.
“While the decision will ultimately remain in the hands of the Minister for Education, it’s important that he knows the will of the local community.
“Parents can also choose whether they want their child to go to an-Irish or English speaking primary school so it’s important that parents inform themselves of the options, and make the right choice for them, and importantly for their children.
“The various patronage bodies have until January 6th to submit their expressions of interest, with associated interest levels from parents, and I’m calling on all parents or guardians to make their voices heard and engage with their preferred patron” concluded the Cork North West TD.
