KILMEEN Macra has had an eventful month with the big highlight being the annual table quiz that was held in the Winning Post on the18th of November.

A great night was had by all,congratulations to Clonakilty Macra who came 1st on the night and also to William O Neill Ballindee Macra on his eating skills of polishing off a block of cheese and an onion in record time in the cheese and onion round! A huge thank you to all who attended,to local sponsors of the prizes and of course to the wonderful Winning Post Rossmore. Some of the proceeds is going towards the Senior Citizens party in Rossmore which will be held on the the 11th of December,all attendance and help would be appreciated.

Members also enjoyed a very informative farm walk set up by Carbery Marca young farmer and development group in killbrittian on the 26th of November. Members traveled to Carrigaline where the Irish farming seminar was held, many speakers of the night including the minister for agriculture discussing the effects of Brexit on Irish farming etc. Members also took on the Skibbereen down and Dirty on Saturday last,well done to all!

Congratulations to Darren Deasy,Mike Barrett, Shane McCarthy and Louise McCarthy on their recent success and qualification to the next round of senior debating and to Shane who won best speaker on the night.

Up and coming events include our Christmas party which will be held in Kenmare on the 17th of December. All welcome and Santa hats essential! We are also delighted to announce that we are commencing a sports night that will start on the 7th December in Rossmore GAA sports hall!
