Kilmeen & Kilbree GAA Club Notes

Presentation of club silverware at parish senior citizen party

The annual Christmas senior citizens party took place on Sunday in St Mary’s Hall. This was a momentous event as it was the 40th year that this party had been held.

It was a most successful event with food, music, singing and dancing. Thanks to Helen Hayes for organising this event and for inviting the GAA club to take part. The silverware won by the underage and camogie club was presented on the day. The underage/camogie clubs were represented by Connie Murphy, Marie Dorgan, Pauric Reilly and Deirdre O’Leary. Members of the successful teams were also present.

A variety show club fundraiser will take place in Rossmore on January 12th, 13th and 14th. This fundraiser is being organised by Nora Scannell and rehearsals are well underway. Tickets for this event would make great Christmas presents and are available from club members.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 13, 24 and 34. The lucky dip winners were Donal Hayes, Ray Duggan and Gary Coughlan. Next week’s lotto jackpot will be €2,900.
