Kilmeen & Kilbree GAA Club Notes

Kilmeen NS Mini Sevens Boys Football team qualify for next round

Variety Show Club Fundraiser

A variety show club fundraiser will take place in Rossmore on January 12th, 13th and 14th. This fundraiser is being organised by Nora Scannell and rehearsals are well underway. Tickets for this event would make great Christmas presents and will be available shortly.

Well done to Kilmeen NS boys and girls football teams who took part in round 1 of the mini sevens football competition. The boys were outright winners and the girls finished well in second place. Both teams played Glandore NS, Knockskeagh NS, Coppeen NS and Schull NS. Well done to everyone involved.

The club’s AGM will take place on Saturday 16th December in Rossmore. Nomination forms are available from Christy Daly and must be returned by Monday 11th December, at the latest.

Congratulations to Kilbree U14’s Mary Murphy, Kate O’Donovan, Rachel Deasy and Caoimhe Murphy who won the U14 County football championship, the U14 West Cork football championship and the U13 West Cork football championship with Clonakilty this season. They were presented with their three medals each in Clonakilty on Sunday night in Ahamilla, by past Kilmeen player Martina O’Brien. Well done girls and to everyone involved with these very successful teams.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 9, 14 and 17. The lucky dip winners were Breda O’Hea, Emma Keohane and Sean McCarthy. Next week’s lotto jackpot will be €2,700.
