U10 Padraic Dervin Memorial Tournament
The U10 footballers were delighted to be invited to Macroom, to take part in the Padraic Dervin Memorial tournament, on Saturday morning.
Eight teams took part including Kilmeen, Castlehaven, Carbery Rangers, Macroom, Aghabullogue, Dromtarriffe, Kilmurry and Glenflesk.
The Kilmeen boys topped their group after playing Castlehaven, Kilmurry and Macroom. They qualified for the semi-final against Glenflesk and won this.
They played Macroom in the final and were unlucky to lose by a mere two points. Thanks to Macroom GAA for hosting such a wonderful tournament and for the refreshments during and after the games.

The minor footballers played a league fixture against Kilmacabea in Rossmore, on Friday night. Despite leading for most of this game, Kilmacabea came back at the end of the match and won by three points. The final score was Kilmacabea 3-8 Kilmeen 1-11.

The U14 footballers lost out to a stronger Kilmacabea side in the championship, in Ardfield on Sunday. The final score was Kilmacabea 7-17 Kilmeen 2-3.
