Juniors continue their winning ways!
Kilbree junior hurlers continued their campaign to retain the “flyer Nyhan” on Saturday night. Their quarter-final clash with St James was played in Clonakilty. Kilbree were dominant from the start. There were some great points from Don McCarthy, Darragh Coakley, Kevin O’Donovan, Donal McSweeney and Denis Dullea in the first half. This ensured Kilbree lead by thirteen points to six at half time.
A goal by Darragh Coakley from a Denis Dullea free, gave Kilbree a significant lead. From this point on, the result never looked in doubt. Points by Dylan Coffey, Don McCarthy, Oige Scannell and Kevin O’Donovan ensured Kilbree sealed this victory with a fine finish. The final score was Kilbree 1-24 St James 0-13.

Congratulations to Kilbree U14 Mary Murphy who played at half-time in the Primary Games in Thurles, during the Munster hurling final. This was a very proud day for Mary, her family, school and club.
The U14 footballers welcomed Urhan to Rossmore on Wednesday night. The boys played a tight competitive match and were unlucky to be the losers on the night.

Kilmeen U12 footballers played Ilen Rovers in Rath on Wednesday evening. This was the U12 footballers best performance of the season so far. They played as a cohesive team and fought for every ball. The sides were level early in the second half. However Kilmeen dug deep and were convincing winners. The final score was Kilmeen 5-6 Ilen Rovers 2-5.

The U10 hurlers travelled to Ballinascarthy to play the local side on Wednesday night. Every member of the Kilbree team played exceptionally well and dominated from the start in this encounter. It is great to see how much these boys love hurling and they are developing with every game that they play.

There was no winners of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 6, 17 and 20. The lucky dip winners were Brian Harrington, Tadhg O’Leary and John Joe O’Leary. Next week’s jackpot will be €1,200.
Used Clothing Collection
Kilbree camogie club is holding its annual clothing collection. Clothing, shoes, bed linen, curtains, towels are all accepted. Clothing may be dropped to the club rooms on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th July from 10am to noon. Clothing may also be dropped to Kilmeen Creamery on Saturday 29th July from 10am to noon. All club members are encouraged to support this most important fundraiser.
