Community Games Camogie Champions 2017

Community Games Team are County Champions!

Nine Kilbree U13 girls played on the Enniskeane & District Community Games team won the county final, last Monday. This U13 selection defeated St Catherines in Inniscarra, the final score was 9-3 to 1-0. Congratulations to Heather Brimble, Kate O’Donovan, Emily O’Donovan, Maeve O’Neill, Margaret Collins, Mary Murphy, Caoimhe Murphy, Rebecca Hurley and Niamh McCarthy. They have now qualified for the Munster final in Limerick in July.

Four of this cohort of girls won an U14 county football title with Clonakilty on Sunday night. In exceptionally hot conditions they played a very tough game against Courcey Rovers. Well done to Kate O’Donovan, Caoimhe Murphy, Mary Murphy and Rachel Deasy on their great win.

U12 Camogie

The U12 camogie girls played Bishopstown in Rossmore, on Friday last. The visitors were stronger on the night but the girls did themselves proud.

Team: Ava Murray, Clionadh Debarbouille, Emer O’Connell, Sandra O’Mahony, Katelyn McCarthy, Aoibhi Collins, Holly McCarthy and Lucy Medcalf.

Junior Football

The Junior A team defeated Barryroe on Saturday evening, in Rossmore. The final score was Kilmeen 1-17 Barryroe 0-8.

The second football team were equally successful on Friday evening, in Rossmore. They defeated St Colums. The final score was Kilmeen 2-13 St Colums 0-11.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The number drawn were 16, 31 and 42. The lucky dip winners were Malcolm Harte, Fionnuala O’Donoghue and Gerard Duggan. Next week’s jackpot will be €1,100.

Cul Camp 2017

The annual Cul Camp runs from Monday July 24th to Friday July 28th, from 10am to 2pm each day. There will be one registration night on Wednesday 28th June from 8-8.30pm, in the club rooms. Alternatively booking for camp can be done online before July 15th, to ensure kit delivery.

Annual Clothing Collection

Kilbree camogie club will hold it’s annual used clothing collection in July. Please spring clean your wardrobes in time for this most important club fundraiser.
