Ian Bailey has not ruled out travelling to France to part take in trial against him

IAN Bailey has said he has yet to decide whether or not he will travel to France to take part in a trial against him.

Mr Bailey has been served with a murder indictment by a French court in connection with the death of Sophie Toscan Du Plantier in West Cork over 20 years ago.

Irish courts have ruled he can’t be extradited due to lack of evidence – but a trial can go ahead in his absence in France.

Speaking to Patricia Messinger on C103’s Cork Today programme, Mr Bailey said he has not been informed of a trial date yet.
