WEST Cork Crafts at 61 Townsend Street in Skibb will be hosting a number of special events for the Skibbereen Arts Festival.

There will be a free exhibition and demonstration of art by celebrated local artist Martin Stone to coincide with Skibbereen Arts Festival at The Studio @ West Cork Crafts (adjacent to Morris Gallery – in the walk way between Townsend Street and Fields’ Car Park. Art exhibition runs from 23rd July – 4th August, 11am – 5:30pm.

Arts Demos every day (except 24th July, 27th July am, 28th July and 3rd August am.

Also Digital Camera Clinics – with renowned local nature & landscape photographer Charlie Lee Friday 27th July and Friday 3rd August, 10:30am – 1:30pm, drop in to the shop to pre-book, bring your digital camera for a free clinic – learn how to use your camera to the best potential and create amazing photographs.

Also The Art & Craft of Stained Glass, Saturday 28th July for one day only, 10:30am – 5pm.

Adrian Brentnall, local stained-glass artisan (Inspired-glass), will be talking about stained glass and demonstrating the techniques involved in this ancient craft, while making a variety of attractive items. Drop in and see how it’s done!

All events are completely free – when you’ve visited the exhibitions call in to the shop at 61 Townsend Street to see work by Martin, Charlie and Adrian, and 12 other West Cork artists and crafters.

Everything in the shop is direct from local artisans at great prices.
