SEAN Murray Fashions, Skibbereen has announced their sponsorship of Steve Redmond ahead of the final swim of his Ocean’s 7 Challenge in Japan this summer. Sean who is also Steve’s official dresser took to the water recently to fit Steve for a suit which he wore for his Late Late Show appearance with Ryan Tubridy.

Sean Murray Fashions committed to sponsoring Steve when they realised the need for sponsorship to help him finish the Ocean’s 7 challenge.

Up to now much of the money raised has been through local events in Ballydehob and Skibbereen and in Steve’s home place of Castledermot but the backing of Sean and his team will allow the marathon swimmer to focus solely on training for the last leg of the journey in June.

Speaking of the sponsorship, Sean Murray said, “I am thrilled to support Steve. What he is doing is amazing and should be supported which is why we have come on board as Steve’s main sponsor and dresser.

“Steve has given us lots to celebrate since he began this journey in 2009 at a time when bad news seemed to be the order of the day.

“It is great to be able to support someone you admire and we at Sean Murray’s wish Steve all the very best in the weeks and months ahead in his training and will look forward to welcoming him home from Japan in June when he will hopefully be the first person ever to have completed this gruelling challenge”.
