THE Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr John Buttimer recently received extensive research on 19th century champion runner The Rosscarbery Steam Engine aka T.J. O’Mahony on behalf of Cork City Library from a delegation representing Rosscarbery Community Council, Carbery Rangers GAA club, and Rosscarbery Historical Society.

The second annual ‘Rosscarbery Steam Engine’ 5km Fun Run will take place this Saturday September 29th at 2pm, with the €8 registration from 1pm at the Carbery Rangers’ Ardagh complex.

Runners, walkers and families alike are very welcome.

All proceeds will be donated to charity.
