The whale was spotted off of Galley Head.

A HUMPBACK whale has again been spotted in the waters off of West Cork, this time about 8 miles south east of Galley Head.

The sighting was made yesterday by whale watch operator Colin Barnes according to the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.

The sighting follows the first ever April sightings of Humpbacks in Irish waters also in West Cork, last month.

It could not be confirmed if the whale was one of the 20 already recorded in Irish waters or animal paying its first visit to West Cork.
