Murray Connolly and Barry Cunningham reach Malin Head.

Thanks to Una Murray

FOUR intrepid (and saddle sore) cyclists recently completed the gruelling 630km, three-day Mizen to Malin cycle in aid of UCC’s Surgeon Noonan charity.

Two fourth-year medical students, Murray Connolly and Barry Cunningham were joined by two “gluttons for punishment” Gearoid and Paudie Murphy in completing the 630km cycle from Ireland’s most southerly point to its most northerly.

The cycle was completed in aid of the Surgeon Noonan Charity, a voluntary charity run by fourth-year medical students in UCC.

These students raise funds for under-funded rural hospitals in Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia.
