Féile Beag is a four day family festival will takes place again this year over the May Bank Holiday Weekend, May 4th -7th, in Drimoleague.

While continuing with the same format that has proved successful in previous years, a new event this year is the 5K Fun Run on Monday evening.

Highlights of the weekend are as follows:

 

Friday May 4th

William’s Fun Fair over the whole weekend in the Railway Yard, Official Opening by Ms Martina O’Donoghue of C103 followed by music and dancing in the Hall with Colm Cronin.

 

Saturday May 5th

10.30am

Hill Walk: Drimoleague-Mullaghmesha, assemble at Railway Yard. (Return transport available, approx charge €8).

3pm

Guided Riverbank Family Walk, meet in Ahnafunsion Bridge Car Park (1mile north of Drimoleague)

8.30pm

Féile Beag Monster €1000 Bingo in The Hall

 

Sunday May 6th

10.30am

Glenbanoo Hill Walk to Lough Bofinne. Assemble at Castledonovan car park; Return transport available, approx charge €8.

2.30-4.30pm

Children’s Arts & Crafts Exhibition in the Methodist Hall.

2.30pm

Féile Beag Duck Race in the River Rugagh.

3pm

Monster Childrens’ Entertainment in the Railway Yard/Tennis Courts with Stilt Walkers and Face Painting

3-5pm

Live Music & Platform Dancing with ‘Patrick O’Sullivan’ on the Green (or in The Hall) and Barbecue

5pm

Cork Circus Trapeze Act ‘Sorcaluba’ in the Tennis Courts

9.45pm

Fireworks Display in the GAA Grounds

 

Monday May 7th

Hill Walk to Nowen Hill, assemble at Cullinagh, Dunmanway (Grid Ref W147524, signposted from old Castledonovan Creamery) transport €8.

2pm

Long Shot Bowling Competition starting at the GAA Pitch

2.00pm

Car Treasure Hunt starting in the Church Car Park

5-6pm

Registration for 5K Fun Run in the GAA Grounds (entry fee €10)

6pm

5K Fun Run no individual timing, large clock at finish, refreshments served afterwards.

6-9pm

Féile Fun in the GAA Pitch with Kids Fun Run, BBQ, Zorb Ball,Bucking Bronco and Human Table Top Football.
