The Courtmac lifeboat towed the yacht to shore.

THE Courtmacsherry Lifeboat, Frederick Storey Cockburn, was called to assist a yacht which got into trouble south of the Old Head of Kinsale today.

The yacht with two men aboard was about three miles off the West Cork coast when it ran into difficulties at around 3pm.

The lifeboat was on the scene within half an hour and the vessel was towed back to shore.

Both men aboard the yacht were reported to be safe and well.
