On many of my travels I end up passing through Dublin Airport, and often with flight times that are inconvenient.
So I prefer to drive up to Dublin the afternoon/evening to catch a flight in the early morning.
The last few times I have stayed at the Bewley’s Airport Hotel, they have a good room rate with parking included, and more important, they have a nice lobby bar with great food.
The Lounge at Bewley’s offers snacks from €2 for a muffin, up to €14.95 for Red Thai Chicken Curry.
I haven’t tried either, but usually select something within that range.
They also have a Brasserie in which the prices range in the levels of €7 to €24.
This time I tried the Louisiana Hot Chicken Wings served with celery and blue cheese dip.
I love blue cheese dip, as I like good sauces in general though at €13.95 the dish was a bit pricy.
The quality of the food is consistently good, and I could not find anything to complain about.
Service was friendly and welcoming and as an added bonus many of the staff seem to have worked at Bewley’s for some time.
Uncomplicated and good service, the staff cope well with the high turnover of guests looking for a quick bite to eat or a drink.
The food is good quality and if it were just a little bit cheaper I might even go for the main restaurant again, not just the lobby bar.
The hotel itself has clean rooms, a great free shuttle service to the airport and good rates for park and fly.
