Last year’s cycle sets off.

THE presentation of the proceeds of this year’s West Cork Emergency Services and Friends Charity Cycle will take place in the Civil Defence Headquarters, North Street Skibbereen on Wednesday night (Sept 19th) at 9 pm.

The cycle raised an incredible €22,500 for the chosen charities including West Cork Cancer Connect, Beara Day Care Centre, Feileacain Ireland, Cork South West Association for Autism, and CLM  (Cuarteori le Muire) Clonakilty.

A €2,500 holiday voucher for a sick child in West Cork will also be awarded from the proceeds and details on how to apply will be announced shortly.

All are welcome to attend the presentation where light refreshments will be provided.

 

Garry Minihane, Chairman of  West Cork Emergency Services Cycle said, “Once again we would like to thank the Civil Defence, Irish Red Cross, Gardai, Fire Service, Coastguard, West Cork Rapid Response, sponsors, cyclists, stewards and all our helpers for making this event such a huge success.
