Kilmeen Kubs Nursery Programme Graduation 11th April 2014 in Kilmeen NS!   The “Kilmeen Kubs” Nursery Programme is a hurling, camogie and football coaching programme.  This programme is a joint venture run by Kilmeen National School and Kilmeen & Kilbree GAA Club.  The programme was originally launched in February 2013.  The launch of the second year of this successful venture took place in February 2014.

Kinsale Yacht Club notes

MMD Spring Series 2014 KYC Racing was overshadowed by the sad passing of former Scora Commodore Vinnie O’Shea. Vinnie had been a great supporter of Kinsale Yacht Club and was well known as the Skipper of Yanks & Francs. A minutes silence was held as a mark of respect prior to the start of racing. Clon ready to welcome the Rás

This year, for the first time since 1995 Clonakilty will host a Stage-end Finish of the 2014 An Post Rás 8 Day International Cycle Race. The Rás is included on the prestigious Union Cycliste Internationale Calendar of Cycle races. Beara swimmers at the Community Games

Following on from Beara’s first small team of 6 swimmers in 2013 this year the area entered a team of 18.  Children qualified for their places at the trials held in early February.  For the majority of the children taking part this was their first swimming competition and, for some, their first time in a 25m pool.

Trainee coxwains take to the water

Recently held by the Southwest Coastal Yawl Rowing Association at the Celtic Ross Hotel was a coxwain’s beginners course. At the first ever coxwain’s course from the Southwest, on hand with their guidance and expertise were Danny Hayes from the Galley Flash Rowing Club; Tadg Collins from Kilmacsimon Rowing Club; Anthony Glanton from Myross Rowing Club and Margaurite Deasy from Ring Rowing Club.

Superb weekend for Cal and Conor on West Cork Rally
