Clon ready to welcome the Rás

This year, for the first time since 1995 Clonakilty will host a Stage-end Finish of the 2014 An Post Rás 8 Day International Cycle Race. The Rás is included on the prestigious Union Cycliste Internationale Calendar of Cycle races. Beara swimmers at the Community Games

Following on from Beara’s first small team of 6 swimmers in 2013 this year the area entered a team of 18.  Children qualified for their places at the trials held in early February.  For the majority of the children taking part this was their first swimming competition and, for some, their first time in a 25m pool.

Superb weekend for Cal and Conor on West Cork Rally

Berehaven Park Golf Club fundraiser

A three ball scramble was held at Berehaven Park Golf Club over the St Patrick’s weekend. Fantastic weather ensured a great turnout with 35 teams entered.   The presentation of prizes took place in the club house on Sunday night. West Cork to host An Post Rás stage

FOR the first time since 1995 Clonakilty will host a Stage-end of the An Post Rás eight day international cycle race.   The 2014 race will commence in Dunboyne, Co. Meath on Sunday, May 18th. The fifth stage will arrive into Clonakilty on Thursday, May 22nd, after completing a gruelling 170 Kilometres trip from Caherciveen.
