A ROMANIAN man charged with the murder of John Forrester in Bandon in 2011 has been found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by Mr Justice Paul Carney.   Ciprian Grozavu (39) of Bridge House, Sean Hales Place, Bandon had denied the murder of 42-year-old Mr Forrester in November 2011 claiming that Catherine O’Connor who had already admitted the murder had acted alone.

Cork garda station closures result in “little savings”

€100,000 cannabis seizure near Macroom

GARDAÍ in Macroom have arrested four males following the seizure of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of approximately €100,000.   The discovery was made at around 10pm on Sunday, December 15th during a planned search at a house in Rusheen, about four miles from Macroom.
