Colette Twomey received the knighthood from Annie Beresford, acting grand master and Roger Guerin, treasurer.

THE Managing Director of the Clonakilty Blackpudding Company, Colette Twomey has been knighted by the Commanderie de Fins Goustiers du Duche d’Alencon at a special ceremony in Clonakilty.

The award was given in recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution to food.

The French group bestows the “knighthoods” to those who produce quality food products in a range of categories.
