Cuddly Lions

THE  Bantry Bay Lions have supplied 25 ‘Cuddly Lions’ (similar to a teddy bear) to the Ambulance Services through the generosity of a €300 donation from Ray Hennessey.

Thanks also to Designs & Signs for providing the little jacket at cost and the Lions logo free of charge.

These cuddly lions will be given to children who are transported to hospital via an ambulance to help ease their distress.

Team Leader Martin Murray thanked the Lions Club and Ray Hennessey for initiating this valuable project.

Advanced Paramedic Olive Murphy thought it was a great idea and said that she wouldn’t have to blow up rubber gloves any more to distract children in distress.
