AFTER the long trip Avondale defeated Kildrum Tigers 3-1 showing the difference between the Munster Senior League and the Ulster Senior League.

So there will be at least two Cork clubs in the next round of the FAI Cup but there could be three yet as Douglas Hall earned a replay v Wexford Youth’s on Tuesday night after a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

The Cork team took the lead in the first half but Wexford got a equalizer about the 80th minute to bring the tie to a replay.

Cork team Everton AFC were knocked out of the competition after a 1-0 defeat to fellow Munster team Waterford United of the Airtricity First Division.

So with a bit of luck there could still be a Cork derby in the cup if the draw is favourable.
