Michael Carey, Chairman of Bord Bia, has announced the appointment of Tara McCarthy from Clonakilty as Chief Executive of Bord Bia. Ms McCarthy will succeed current Chief Executive, Aidan Cotter, who will retire in January 2017.

IFA President Joe Healy led a commemoration in Bantry, West Cork today (Thurs) to mark the 50th anniversary of the famous Farmers’ Rights Campaign of 1966.

St Brendan’s NS school has had a very busy month. We had a visit to the Fire Station in Bantry for National Fire Safety Week where we watched a demonstration about chip pan fires.
