Approaching its 80th anniversary, Cork Orchestral Society has brought a wealth of distinguished international and Irish classical music to the city since 1937. Its 2016 programme continues in this exemplary vein with a diverse schedule of performances set to take place in venues throughout Cork during the year.
Clonakilty is participating as usual in National Heritage Week from this Saturday 23rd to next Saturday 31st August. Dúchas Clonakilty Heritage has put an interesting programme together with a mix of indoor and outdoor events which was launched at the Museum on Monday evening last by Mayor Colette Twomey. All events during the week are completely free, although voluntary donations will be accepted at some.
