Jimmy Crowley brings his extraordinary collection of music to The White Horse in Ballincollig on November 4. He will be joined on the night by special guest Cork singer songwriter Ger Wolfe for what promises to be a special celebration of Cork traditional music.
Jimmy Crowley has been a central figure in the Irish folk scene since the enthusiastic reception of his debut album The Boys of Fairhill in 1977. As a song collector Jimmy Crowley has specialized in collecting and playing traditional songs from County Cork. His recordings popularised local songs such as Johnny Jump Up, Salonika, The Boys of Fairhill and The Armoured Car.
