Chartered Accountants Cork Society roll out CAVA Service to West Cork

THE Chartered Accountants Cork Society has announced that the Chartered Accountants Voluntary Advice service (CAVA) is to extend its free business advisory service to West Cork.   Susan O’Sullivan, a chartered accountant employed with PwC in Cork and the CAVA representative for Chartered Accountants Ireland Cork Society said, “The typical user of the service is a small business owner struggling to keep their business running.

Free crafts talks in Kinsale

A series of informal talks will be given this week by craftspeople featured in CRUTH. X-PERT – Free Diabetes Education Programme for the Kenmare/Sneem area

A self management patient education programme for people with diabetes will take place in Kenmare on Thursdays (2½ hours) from 4th April until May 9th 2013 in the Kenmare Primary Care Centre, Kenmare.   The programme, which is being organised by the HSE South’s “Community Nutrition and Dietetics Departments” in conjunction with local general practitioners, is aimed at improving people’s awareness about the up-to-date treatment and management of diabetes.

Free family workshops at West Cork Arts Centre

COME along to the West Cork Arts Centre this Saturday morning (March 2nd) to explore the Panto Collapsar exhibition with your children.   WCAC’s family programme, Discovery Box, welcomes children and adults to experience art works and art making together, in the company of artist Susan Montgomery.   The workshop, from 11am to 11.45am is free and the projects are designed for children from 1½ to 7-years-old.

Rising stars of music scene play De Barra’s this Friday

Bring your electrical recycling for free

ON Saturday April 21st next Cork County Council and WEEE Ireland are hosting a free electrical and battery recycling day at the bring sites at Bantry, Drimoleague and Dunmanway. The free recyclimg offer is available between 10am and 4pm only and they will accept any household item with a plug or a battery.
