THE relocation of regular children’s diabetes clinics from Bantry Hospital to Cork University Hospital (CUH) has been described as a “worrying” development by local Fianna Fáil senator Denis O’Donovan. Senator O’Donovan raised the issue with Minister Kathleen Lynch in Seanad Éireann recently where he said that three-years-ago, there were monthly paediatric clinics that rotated from being a general clinic to being a diabetes clinic in Bantry.

KINSALE woman, midwife and lactation vonsultant Clare Boyle has opened Cork’s first private breastfeeding clinic in Bishopstown, Cork. The clinic will enable breastfeeding women who are experiencing problems with breastfeeding to access skilled breastfeeding help easily. Clare who is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant has been helping breastfeeding mothers for the past ten years by visiting them in their homes said she was finding it challenging to keep up
