Kinsale’s Carlton Hotel put up for sale

KINSALE’S landmark four-star Carlton Hotel has been put on the market with agents Savills with a guide price of €4.25 million. The 70 bedroom hotel boats a scenic location overlooking Oysterhaven Bay just outside Kinsale and includes a 200 capacity ballroom, conference and banqueting facilities, a state-of- the- art leisure centre with a 20 metre swimming pool as well as 19 three-bedroom holiday houses fitted to a high standard.

Liam Doocey to speak at KYSS event

Receiver appointed to Kinsale Hotel

ALL 94 staff at the Carlton Hotel in Kinsale will retain their jobs, despite the appointment of an official receiver it has been confirmed.   Kieran Wallace of KPMG has been appointed as receiver for the hotel which will continue to trade as normal and honour all existing bookings.

Major expansion for Eli Lilly in Kinsale

PHARMACEUTICAL giant Eli Lilly have announced a new €330m investment in Kinsale that will create 200 full-time jobs and another 300 in the construction phase. The announcement was made today at the Carlton Hotel, Kinsale by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton. The company is to begin work immediately on the new manufacturing plant at its existing facility at Dunderrow near Kinsale.

Kinsale’s Rockpool restaurant re-launched

THE aptly-named “Rock” of Cork hurling, Diarmuid O’Sullivan was on hand at Kinsale’s Carlton Hotel recently to re-launch the hotel’s Rockpool Restaurant. Overlooking Oysterhaven Bay at the Carlton Hotel, the re-launch of the Rockpool underlines yet again that Kinsale truly is the Gourmet Capital of the country.
