MORE than a thousand people took to the streets of Kinsale at the weekend for the fourth annual Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk. The event has quickly become one of the highlights of the year in Kinsale with local businesses and streets decked out in pink especially for the event in aid of Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society.
THE annual Girls Just Wanna Have Fun weekend at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Rosscarbery has raised €12,500 for Action Breast Cancer. Now in its seventh year, the weekend brought 150 women together from al over Ireland to help the Irish Cancer Society fund breast cancer research, support and services.

IT was a case of painting the town pink in Kinsale at the weekend as more than 750 people turned out to take part in the first ever Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk on Sunday. The town was bedecked in pink balloons, banners and posters as runners and walkers took on the 10km course around the town in great spirits.

HUNDREDS are expected to turn out in Clonakilty on Monday, October 31st next for the Clonakilty Action Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Walk. The event, now in its third year has grown steadily in popularity with more than 600 people expected to take part in this year’s event. Last year more than €11,000 was raised by the 540 walkers who took part.
