SKIBB will be the place to be in West Cork later this month as the town hosts two major festivals.
The festivities kick off with the Skibbereen Arts Festival which this year runs from July 23rd to August 4th featuring an action-packed Children’s Festival, concerts, theatre, poetry, art exhibitions, film screenings, comedy, workshops as well as free outdoor/lunchtime events in various locations around Skibbereen.
First held in July 2009 it has quickly grown to be one of the major annual events in Skibb and this year’s festival is set to be the biggest and best yet promising something for everyone, locals and tourists alike.
Joining the Arts Festival this year is the inaugural Skibb Beats music festival which will be held over the weekend of July 28th-29th.
Major acts set to perform in the festival marquee at the Fairfield include the Saw Doctors on July 28th and Mundy, Cathy Davey and Jack L on the 29th.
Tickets are just €20 and free transport is available from all over West Cork with your ticket.
