THE Clonakilty Flood Relief Fund was set up earlier this week at Clonakilty Credit Union in the aftermath of the recent serve flooding.

The fund was initiated by Town Mayor Cllr. Cionnaith Ó Súilleabháin who approached representatives of local experienced and well-respected organisations who have a long history of administering financial aid to the people of Clonakilty to manage the fund.

Mark White, Chairperson Clonakilty Red Cross; Marie O’Keeffe, President Clonakilty Lions Club and Richard Jennings, President Clonakilty Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society will have sole responsibility for managing and administering the funds, after people apply on a confidential form online or by returning hard copies by post.
