FOLLOWING the great success of the recent “out there” exhibition on Sherkin Island, featuring work by the 19 degree local degree students, the exhibition has now moved to the West Cork Arts Centre to give land lovers a chance to see the work too.

The show is the product of the BA (Hons) Visual Art Programme being run on Sherkin by the Dublin Institute of Technology.

More than 1,000 people from all over West Cork made their way to Sherkin on May 19th and 20th to view the eclectic range of artworks on display in a broad range of locations.

The feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive and this is a further opportunity to see more work by these students.

The Degree Show features painting, drawing, photography, video installation and mixed media works showcasing the work of the students and will be located at both at the Arts Centre and also at The Quay building in the centre of Skibbereen, courtesy of the owner Noel O’Driscoll.

The BA in Visual Art Degree Show 2012 continues at the West Cork Arts Centre and The Quay until Saturday, June 16th, Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
