THE Clonakilty Road Runners Athletics Club was established in September 2011 and has grown rapidly with close to 100 active adult members.

We are an all-inclusive club encouraging people of all abilities to become more active in life. Our members range from those who get out walking a few times a week, to fun runners and those who run 10km races, marathons and ultra-marathons.

The popularity of the club stems from the pervasive atmosphere of friendship and positivity within its members. Our ethos is one of all-inclusiveness, as is reflected by our membership profile and our modest, affordable membership fee structure.

The Clonakilty Road Runners Fit4Life club meet every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7.30pm, leaving from The Waterfront Buildings.  The Fit4Life group walk/jog/run a variety of routes and distances, and all are welcome to join irrespective of level of fitness.

The Clonakilty Road Runners AC meet up on Saturday mornings at 8am at The Waterfront Buildings and a number of groups form, covering a variety of distances. Currently, under the guidance of Athletics Ireland trained coach Mark Hilliard, club members meet at the grave yard on Fernhill Road at 7:30 pm to run into Kilgariffe for hills training.  Interval speed training will commence soon on Tuesday evenings at the Clonakilty Rugby Club.

We have a family day out planned for the summer and again if you would like to get involved we would be delighted to hear from you.

We are also seeking sponsorship partners and would be delighted to hear from any person or company who might have an interest in becoming associated with Clonakilty Road Runners.
