LABOUR TD Michael McCarthy has been appointed director of the Labour Party’s campaign for the stability treaty referendum in Cork South-West, it has been announced.
Local area directors have also been confirmed, following a party meeting on Thursday night.
They are Cllr Gearoid Buckley (Bandon electoral area), Norma Thomson (Skibbereen electoral area) and Jose Ospina (Bantry electoral area).
“I look forward to meeting many people around West Cork over the course of the referendum campaign.
“Our aim is to communicate to people the benefits of voting yes to the stability treaty and we will leave no stone unturned in getting the message across that passing the treaty is in the best interests of the country,” said Deputy McCarthy.
