DUNMANWAY town did very well again in this year’s Anti-Litter Challenge winning second place in Category A towns section.
They missed out by only half a point to the eventual winners Blarney.
This is a veritable performance again by Dunmanway having come first in last year’s competition.
The award ceremony was held by Cork County Council at the Vertigo Restaurant in County Hall.
Almost 100 communities were represented at the event, where the County Mayor, Councillor Barbara Murray, congratulated the community representatives on their tireless dedication and their pride in their communities.
The Community Council commends those who helped throughout the year in voluntary litter-picking and other work in keeping the town litter-free and looking its best.
