THE 2012 Eamonn Mac Memorial Cycle will take place on Saturday, September 29th this year.
There is a 100km option from Dunmanway to Kilworth and a 200km option from Kilworth to Dunmanway and back to Kilworth.
To date the cycle has raised over €90,000 for the Cork Cancer Research Centre and the organisers hope that this year the success and fantastic generosity will continue.
Eamonn McLoughlin died tragically of colon cancer at the age of 46 and his family and enthusiastic friends, decided to organise a fundraising cycle in his honour, from Dunmanway, where he had many fond memories to the family home in Kilworth.
The first year that Eamonn’s family did the event (2006), there were only four cyclists but nevertheless raised an amazing €6,000. Since then the cycle has gone from strength to strength.
