NATIONAL Heritage Week takes place from 18th – 26th August inclusive, and as part of that, the Clonakilty Museum, will be open from this Wednesday 22nd – Friday 24th from 11.30am  4.00pm daily, with an entry fee of just €1 adults, children free.

And on Saturday 25th, it will open free of charge to all with longer opening hours  from 11am – 6pm.

The Clonakilty Museum, housed in a former Methodist School Building on Oliver Plunkett St., covers a wide array of political, social and folklore aspects of the local area, and also has a dedicated Michael Collins exhibition and the 1916-1923 period of Irish history.
