AUDREY and Les Elliott from Twelve Cows Art Limited TA Rynhart Fine Art Bronze, based in Glengarriff, have been announced as one of six winners in the first ‘Your Business on Irish TV’ competition, giving the company the opportunity to promote and sell its products on television for the first time.
The competition, a joint initiative between Shopping from Home, a home shopping series aired on RTÉ and the County and City Enterprise Boards, has a total prize fund of €60,000 with each of the six companies winning the opportunity to have their products feature on the Shopping From Home series for one month, beginning on September 1st. As well as a 45 minutes broadcasting package, including filming and post production, Rynhart Fine Art Bronze will also receive support in marketing, PR and social media.
The judging process, overseen by Kathy Hoffman, founder and Managing Director of Shopping from Home and creator of this unique competition, chose the six winners from a shortlist of twenty award-winning Irish businesses, nominated by their local County and City Enterprise Board.
Rynhart Fine Art Bronze which is run by Audrey and Les Elliott was nominated by the West Cork Enterprise Board.
At the announcement, Kathy Hoffman, Series Producer and Presenter of Shopping from Home congratulated the winners saying, “We were delighted at the level of competition from the twenty short-listed companies and it made for some very difficult decisions in picking the six winners.
“The winning companies, however, impressed us as high quality, innovative, competitive businesses with broad appeal and we look forward to bringing their products to the national stage. As home-grown, quality Irish businesses, these companies deserve our support and we are encouraging people to get behind them and Buy Irish.”
Michael Hanley from the West Cork Enterprise Board said, “The announcement today highlights the wealth of strong businesses that exist in Ireland’s SME sector. “Rynhart Fine Art Bronze now has a unique opportunity to introduce its products and brand to a wider audience, which will lead to new opportunities for sales, new openings for business and will ultimately be of great benefit to the future of its business.”
The six winning companies will have their products featured on the home shopping series for one month, with a new winner being featured each month.
The package includes 45 minutes of broadcasting for the month including free filming and postproduction as well as national and regional PR and Social Media support. The winning companies will also be provided with a broadcast quality website link to upload their footage onto their website and a DVD to allow them showcase their products at exhibitions or trade fairs in the future.
Screentime ShinAwil, the production company behind The Apprentice, MasterChef Ireland, Dragons’ Den and The Voice, will film the first presentation in August, which will then be broadcast on RTÉ One from September 1st.
Shopping from Home was first broadcasted in 2010 and is screened on RTE One television every morning at 7.30am- 8.00am Monday to Sunday.
